How can it get better?

Why don't we have better players coming up from the minor leagues?

No, I mean, look, you look at –

Alex Bregman is not the reason the Cubs are only three games over 500 or two games over five, three, I think right now.

Um, but he's symptomatic of things that are going wrong in baseball where star players who just signed big deals are not playing up to what is expected of them.

And, you know, is, you know, age 32, um,

now a time where you expect players to start their descent and they're going backwards.

So he has been dissatisfied, as the Cub fans in the front office have been, with his performance.

He's the ultimate hard worker.

He's the ultimate great teammate.

He has a swing coach like

you know, hundreds of guys have right now.

He does everything he can to be better, yet he's not right now, you know, with the seven home runs and not driving in the runs the way he should.

But that's symptomatic of what the Cubs have been.

Their offense has been off.

They're starting pitching injured.

Their bullpen now injured and not that good.

So I think

What we are looking at is a team that's three games over .500, and that's who they are right now.
