She told Bertie Ahern to F off at her Ivor Novello winning speech.
She has also had her three albums all reach number one on the Irish album charts, which is a difficult thing to achieve as an Irish artist because
Famously, we haven't always supported Irish musicians as much as we should do.
But she is just a national treasure, an international success story.
And still these people think that their opinion is valued at all.
So the Ivor Novello is the industry Grammy Awards, in a sense, where the best songwriting, the best craftsmanship is all celebrated and it's industry voted.
So for her to be nominated, she's been nominated the last couple of years for her previous album as well.
But the fact that she won for Eurocountry is just such a big deal because this means that she is,
You know, I'm sure she'd say herself that she has she's made it because she's won this.
But this means that she is recognized as a very distinct voice, a very skilled songwriter, as somebody who's genuinely changing the music industry, not just within kind of Ireland and the UK, but globally, because it's a global place.
for creators and songwriters and musicians to be recognised.

ill outlook on how bodies should look and how they should be carried and the fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as a perfect body and when the body positive movement was so big kind of in the 2010s that was the extreme of it where you know that you couldn't even recognise a flaw there was no single person on earth who doesn't have some hang up about some part of their body and I wish that people would be kind of more honest in that and accept it
rather than trying to fight it and change it.
