I still don't get it right all the time.
But I do appreciate that as part of my experience.

But she was fourteen and then fifteen.

And it came on like a rogue wave and it was really, really challenging.
And I speak pretty openly about it.
She's given me permission to speak about it.
Um, but for me I felt very alone.
And you know, here I was this parent educator.
I had been teaching and preaching positive discipline for the last, you know, since my kids were little.
And my teenager was going off the rails.
And I questioned
everything that I had done up until that point and I realized too
That I had a very short list of people that I could reach out to.
Well could isn't the right word.
that I wanted to reach out to 'cause there's nothing worse and I'm sure you get this than sharing something about your child and having the other person get that look on their f that look of horror.
