But let's skip forward to that big debate about what is art.

So the first student to display an artwork just puts a polaroid of a painting by Richard Prince.

It was huge in the 80s, photography, painting, everything.

But he was sort of key to the sort of idea of the object and the idea of separating and it didn't matter about medium and whether it was even your painting because he would take photos of other people's paintings.
