go.
It was at that point that Bill Chalk approached Mr Cox at the bar, lunged at him, and this ferocious attack that his sister joined in on began.
Yes, and the CCTV was actually referenced by the judge during sentencing.
And she said that that CCTV footage, and there was other footage from a mobile phone.
Because of that, the court was able to see the extent of the aggression and the level of restraint that was required to pull both of them off, the two men.
And on that CCTV, you can see the initial interaction at the bar there.
Mr. Cox saying to Bill Chalk to leave it be, him lunging at him.
And then the CCTV shows this brawl sort of spreading from the residence bar out to the hotel's front reception area.
And in that, Alison Chalk, who had initially tried to pull her brother away from the scene, she begins kicking and swinging her hands at the two men.
It shows her at one point walking behind the bar and actually picking up a pint glass and throwing it in the direction of the two victims.
At one point in the front foyer of the hotel, she kneels down beside Mr McHugh and locks into his face with her teeth.
She bit Mr McHugh on his left cheek and she also kicked Mr McHugh into the side of his head.
So quite a violent, vicious assault all captured on CCTV.
The judge said that she had obviously taken everything into account in relation to both defendants.
She'd viewed CCTV, she'd...
read the victim impact statements.
She noted that both Bill and Alison Chalk were of previous good character, that they had no prior offences.
So she's going through all of these points in her sentencing.
You're looking at the two defendants and you could see at that point when she mentions the fact that this is going to be jail time, there was an immediate sense of disbelief.
She gave Bill his sentence first.
