You know, it's not
For sure.
I mean, it's such a delicate balancing act, honestly.
You know, we've seen it in Parma, in Mallorca.
So, you know, Mallorca obviously is a big tourism destination.
It's lovely and sunny.
Beaches, you know, it's a great sort of fun place.
But a couple of years ago, they decided to essentially take a stand, mainly against Brits.
And, you know, we all know the Brits broad stereotype.
We're not always the best people when it comes to going to a destination.
But there were reports of, you know, tourists being kind of hit with water guns, sort of lots of protests saying Brits go home.
And I do absolutely understand why, because, you know, when a lot of Brits, we call it global swarming,
We turn up in a destination and we can kind of alter the chemistry of that place.
But then what happens is lots of Brits then say, well, I don't want to go.
Or just, you know, tourists generally say, well, I don't want to go because I don't feel very welcome.
And I think it's very important if we're going on to say one, two precious holidays a year, you know, as Fionnuala just said.
But then the stories that we're hearing from Mallorca is like, oh, my gosh, please come back because our economy, you know, really, really does depend on tourists.
And it is a very it's just such a delicate balance.
I think it's not just down to tourists.
I mean, we do have a responsibility, I think, to at least try and seek out some slightly underrated places.
