had some chance of outperforming Biden because, and I get it, that's the whole point was RFK Jr.
is outlandish and even he's got a shot, right?
Because Biden was so, so badly wounded.
He had no chance of winning.
And as you all know, that's what I was screaming from the rooftops for a year and a half before the election.
No, no, no.
That conversation was about how awful Joe Biden is and how we got to get him out of the race because he might even lose to outlandish third party candidates because he can't speak.
And so was I right about that?
Absolutely not.
So, Don, these last two topics are actually connected.
So the reason I tried so hard to push Biden out of the race is not because I wanted Democrats to lose, but because I wanted Democrats to win.
And we weren't going to win with Biden.
We needed to pick the strongest possible candidate.
And so I disagree a little bit with what was said before.
I think Josh Shapiro could have won.
I think Tim Walz could have won.
I think there's a number of Democrats who could have beat Donald Trump, even with inflation where it was, if they ran.
And I know that because Kamala Harris at the beginning of her campaign was running a more progressive populist campaign against price increases.
Hold on.
