When Andrew Bogut got hurt, that was the biggest thing for us because we said, if Draymond Green is one of the greatest weak side defenders ever to play basketball at that time, he's great at verticality, communicating, being able to step over, like, you know, control the court,
But if he's guarding you like he guards Braun, go at him.
So if you watch the film, we are attacking the rim over and over and over again to get layups so that we can set our defense.
The second thing that happened, other than Bogut getting hurt, when Kevin Love got concussed, people forgot about that, we started Richard Jefferson, which means we started basically five guards.
Because Tristan's only 6'8".
Richard's 6'9", Braun's 6'9", JR's 6'8", and then Kyrie's like 6'3", 6'4".
So we switched everything.
And all those guys are prevalent defenders.
And it allowed us to keep them in front and change their rhythm up.
And then when Kevin came back, Sean Livingston used to go to work in that second unit.
And Richard would come out early and then go play Sean Livingston so that he couldn't post up anymore.
So and then that and then Braun and Kyrie went into Super Saiyan mode.
And, you know, it was tough.
Once we saw Steph show and get back, we're like, wait a second.
You don't want to guard Kyrie.
Now, I don't know if that's the truth, but that's how we took it.
So we were like, we're going at him.
