Uh it's not that the polls are showing that there's a sudden upsurge of support for uh the saying yes to an a referendum on separation.
That has not been happening.
Um but the issue is who is most committed to uh showing up to vote?
a and getting vote votes out, the more the perception uh gets built in that this is you know, the the the the yes side is going to lose, so you know, let's shrug this off and move on to more serious things, the more the percentage of
the yes vote stands to be uh high because uh people who who want they may be a minority, but the people who want a referendum on separation
maybe more committed to going out to vote than the people who think the status quo isn't perfect, but it's all right.
And and so up to a point, it's interesting because we've spent a lot of time rightly pointing out that the no side is not
uh terribly organized.
It's organic.
It doesn't have any uh elected figure leading it officially, although there are sympathizers uh in the legislative assembly in Edmonton.
But we didn't spend a lot of time, I think, until
a Globe Story this week focusing on uh the same that can be said about the other side.
Um that it's not uh terribly well funded, that it's that there is no
Real
no camp in the sense of the word to because it's a a number of organizations and that they may not be financially or or uh logistically equipped to do a good get the vote out operation.
And that the people who are best placed to lead the gut get the vote out.
tend to be people who are already elected and when you talk about people elected, not all conservative uh MLAs in Alberta would want to be getting the vote out.
uh for for for the no side and for let's put the issue to rest.
So it's a paradox, but it it does speak to the fact that this is happening in in a province where
