I still, back at the time, I still, in fact, to be honest, it made me not know my identity even more so because I didn't know who I was before and I definitely didn't know who I was then.
You know, one minute, you know, I'm living in this small village and then next thing, I'm in the Queen Mother's house having tea and coffee and like shaking Prince Charles' hand.

My family have stuck by my side throughout the whole thing.
But friends, you know, it's so difficult because a lot of people say, you know, when somebody becomes famous, they change.
In my experience, the people around me changed and that was really, really difficult because
I lost all, one by one, I lost my friends.
I had a really good friend and I was doing a TV show at the time and she was due to come on there.
It was like a reality show.
And basically the night before her mum called the production company and said, unless my daughter's getting paid the same amount of money as Shantel, she's not going to do it.
And just, yeah, people changed around me.
Like they couldn't handle it.
Because I went from having nothing to having everything.
And so that led to a lot of loneliness, you know, because I've had everything on paper, but I'd lost everyone apart from my family.
