Either way, I'm going to be honest.
I haven't really seen much of him other than he's like showreel, which doesn't really mean anything.
It's a gamble.
Believe me, it's a gamble.
So the injury had, everyone keeps talking about, oh, he's done his ACL.
No, right?
His ACL is the least of his worries.
He also tore his meniscus.
So essentially his meniscus is the shock absorber between the two bones, right?
Now, basically you have that and then you have cartilage on the end of each bone.
That shock absorber, when you rip it, believe me, because I have, and I've had a meniscus replacement and then ripped that too, your knee is never the same.
And that's my concern.
That is why I believe that the club decided against signing him in January.
We looked after him.
We didn't out him publicly because we knew we were going to go back in for him in the summer, which has already been come out and said.
But I think that at the time, his knee hadn't progressed as much as we'd liked and we weren't prepared to take the risk.
That's my view on it.
But either way, believe me, it's still a risk.
I hope that he goes on to score 20, 25 goals and that one and a half million or whatever we paid for him becomes five, 10 million.
