I have the impression that the market of transactions as such does not necessarily always advantage the rental launchers.

I had the same reaction for Tarik Scouble.

I found that the return had not been to the height of what the Tigers should have obtained.

And I wonder why both the Tigers in the case of Scouble and the Blue Jays in the case of Kevin Gossman, why didn't we hear on Monday afternoon, guys, to try to raise the bid and to see some teams that are perhaps a little more desperate to go get them?

Because there, you're going to look for

A Brett Bateman, a Ty Sautine, they're guys who have no power.

They're guys who put the ball in play, who play the ball.

And it's okay to play the ball.

There are a lot of teams who play the ball in 2026 and who have success.

But I don't think that's what the Blue Jays needed.

They have a cruel lack of power right now.

You're going to look for players who don't meet these needs.

So for me, it doesn't meet the needs of what you had with Kevin Gossman, even if the two guys are not bad.

It's just that I don't think that's what the Blue Jays needed.

Écoute, je pense que par la force des choses, il l'était, en tout respect envers les autres lanceurs qui sont là, même si Gassman n'a pas une grosse saison, il a tellement accompli dans les dernières années, autant à San Francisco qu'à Toronto, depuis quelques années, depuis 5-6 ans.

C'est l'un des bons lanceurs du baseball majeur.
