It was all black folks.

It was, you know, people who were engineers or they were professors at Southern University or that, you know, that kind of thing.

And so I was used to being around brilliant black people.

I was surprised that the white people were not used to my brilliance and seeing that.

And so for them, I was just like, yes, here I am in my beauty, my blackness and my smartness.

And they were always like, oh, my God, you're really smart for a black guy.

You know what I mean?

I knew then I was just like, yeah, I'm really smart.

I said, how about I'm just smarter than you was my thing.

And sometimes I just shut up because I knew that they were ignorant.

And and I just I just showed them by example about how smart.

So I don't think I've ever had anyone say to me that you've never had someone say you're really good looking for a black man.

You're really handsome for a black man.

I don't.

because I think I would have known that I would have snapped in a crazy way.

So I know that I would have remembered it.

I don't think that it, I don't think that I remember it happening.

Yeah.

So I got, so that happened to me in college.

And by the, so by the time I got to the workplace in the workforce and it happened to me, I wasn't, it was not surprising to me that that would, that kind of thing would happen.
