That is not a quantifiable way to note that racism and bigotry in Mississippi no longer exists. matched

That is certainly not the justification that we need to be using. matched

But yes, Don, there are a lot of people who look like me and you who are very, very comfortable matched

Jumping to the defense at the expense of a dead black boy, jumping to the defense of a white boy and a white family without with and denigrating. matched

You know, I had an argument where. matched

that gentleman was saying to me, well, why did they have Al Sharpton do the funeral? matched

And I said, because they wanted to, this was something that they chose. matched

What are you talking to me about? matched

This was that family's choice. matched

And so, and so I think that publicly we have to understand and be very clear. matched

There's no other way to say this, but, um, matched

There's always going to be folks who look like us who are very comfortable tap dancing for white folks because they think it's going to get them a dollar. matched

And one of the things that I have sort of had a challenge with in this moment is matched

while it is important to seek out other perspectives while it is important to uh give give voice and space for alternative viewpoints what we don't want to do is continue to platform people who have shown themselves to be intellectually disingenuous uh because that that that hurts our credibility right like that detracts from our conversation matched
