These are people who come across very smoothly and effectively manipulate other people and manipulate them without them knowing it very often.

a theory that he's a psychopath or that he's some kind of pathological person.

But it doesn't rule it out.

And the fact is most psychopaths aren't killers and most killers aren't psychopaths.

There's a very limited overlap between those two spheres.
