What happens when they get thrown away?
Well, they get shipped back to places like India where that waste then further oppresses the people that produce them.
And um we just need to get our head right.
You know, there's nothing wrong with having stuff that you feel good about how you look in it.
There's nothing wrong with having stuff that you love its functionality.
But we all ought to be sort of be, as you just put it, conscious.
thoughtful about what we purchase and how we look after it.
And maybe that would make us an and I think there's a movement of this sort, right?
Where
Um
People are wanna know where their food comes from and they want to know the makers of their food.
They also want to know who made their clothes and they want to be in relationship with those people.
I mean, imagine if you if you knew, you know, where where a sweater came from or where your sweater came from.
I think there's a kind of pleasure that comes from that that's really different from the pleasure of mindless consumption of something that you don't really need.
Right.
Many of us have many things in our closet that
we purchased because they were on sale or because we thought that that was the this the the fashionable thing of the time.
And then we look back and we think, oh God, that looks terrible.
I mean that's the worst kind of consumption, right?
