you know, those guys would, you know, talk to the team, you know, you know, before training camps and different stuff like that.
We would watch, they would show little clips of the old Raiders and all that sort of thing.
And man, I was just, I mean, almost immediately, man, I like, I fell in love with that silver and black man.
It was like,
it fit me, you know what I mean?
And so you understood that it was built on, you know, there was a toughness there and there was an expectation there, you know, to win, even though they had gone through their, their, you know, post their Superbowls, you know, they had gone through a lot of turbulent time, but, but that mystique of the Raiders was, was always there.
I don't care.
We was four and 12.
And, you know, five and 11, it didn't matter, man.
It was the Raiders.
And I always remember Willie Brown would say, man, there's 31 other teams in the NFL.
And then there's the Raiders.
And that's the way we always looked at it.
And so, man, I mean, I couldn't I couldn't have asked for a better position than to be drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 1998.
Yeah, I think there's more than one.
I would say, man, I was fortunate that I came in.
I felt like I had some real dudes to really look up to.
First and foremost, rest in peace to another guy, man, Eric Turner.
