and this is slightly different because it's Champions League but you know all the English teams did really well in the Champions League group phase including Spurs who were dreadful in the league but they still got top 8 and Newcastle and Newcastle and there was this whole oh woe is us it's too easy then there were a couple of bad last 16 results for the English teams and then it lurched to we're knackered they can't move they can't compete with other teams because the Premier League is too physical and now we're back to it's embarrassingly easy and I just and like it's the fatigue version of common sense or consistency yeah
But it's like, and I said at the time, I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.
I think it is different.
I mean, basically what you have in the Champions League, what keeps it fairly balanced is you've got the team, the Premier League has these ludicrous financial advantages and other advantages, but then PSG and Bayern, who also have loads of money, but they also have the, their league is far less competitive.
So that seems to kind of balance out and keep the Champions League competitive.
