So that could mean fewer, less demand for hospital beds, less demand for expensive medication, less demand for knee replacement surgery.
It's hard to say where this goes.
Yeah.
Centene, Molina Health, WellCare, these companies all have expanded greatly since the Affordable Care Act became law.
Heavy emphasis on Medicaid and the Obamacare private insurance exchanges, individual plans, as they're known.
Those companies have really taken up those business lines aggressively.
And while that has served them well through most of this past decade, it also leaves them exposed if the wind starts to shift a little bit.
Yeah.
And it's hard to say what the effect is or the magnitude, but investors have to prepare themselves for this scenario because the consequences of this would be likely severe, if not entirely predictable, just where they'd go.
And you have to balance the likelihood of this, which is not very high, with the reality that things could get very nasty if the worst case scenario comes to pass.

You know, the court case is just one of many legislative obstacles, regulatory or legislative obstacles, because
The politicians on both sides of the aisle have been hammering drug companies, have said health care costs need to come down.
It polls very well politically.
And it's possible this is all a passing storm and much ado about nothing.
History would suggest that's a likely outcome.
But we won't know that for sure for quite some time.
And I expect there to be volatility in the sector until until then.
