The song Kill Me walks this line between fantasy and reality in a really nimble way.
This chorus is another moment where it feels very organic, the way she's just almost talking like, This is gonna kill me.
Wait, it sounds it sounds like something you would overhear someone saying in a conversation.
But then at the same time, every time she sings weight, it's so calculated.
Everything drops out for a minute.
And it's just the sound of her voice alone.
It's like very vulnerable.
And then all the instruments come back in.
It's this balance of feeling very casual and off the cuff and also like perfectly orchestrated.
