And if we want to understand how and why the bridge might be changing, we probably need to talk to someone who's in the trenches where pop music is being made.

Ideally, someone who's worked with big stars on tracks like Thank You Next by Ariana Grande, High Hopes by Panic at the Disco, Pink by Janelle Monae, and maybe even had a number one country hit with Dan and Shay's Glad You Exist.

I wanted to get Tayla's thoughts on the bridge through a discussion of some of the most interesting ones that she's worked on.
And since Ariana Grande just dropped a new album, I feel like it was appropriate to ask Tayla about how Ariana approaches a bridge.
And while Taylor's best known sessions with Ariana are probably Thank U, Next and Seven Rings, I think one of my favorite bridges that they wrote together is the track POV off the 2020 album Positions.
