The solution to this problem is for Democrats to start winning elections, right?
It's about they need to stop relying on the courts to protect them.
They need to stop relying on lawsuits to find justice.
They need to convince Democrats.
people to vote for them and the way the districts are drawn in texas they're all going to be plus 10 trump um but in a way of election you can wipe out a 10 lead so i expect these maps will become law and then it's going to be up to the democrats to mobilize the people the way representative crockett is trying to do to to win elections and change and and create a fairer system
That's right.
But, you know, Democrats have a history of disappointing.
Right.
So, you know, it's it's they've got to start behaving like a real political party, which we're still waiting on.
So we have two weeks left in this special session and that's going to be four hundred fifty nine thousand dollars worth of fines on the 51 Democratic lawmakers.
That special session will end and the governor will immediately call another one.
And he will keep calling another one until November.
The odds of the Democrats holding out until November, which is the deadline for registering candidates to run for election next year, is pretty slim.
I suspect these maps will become law and they will end up in court.
But as I said, you know, under the current Fifth Circuit and U.S.
Supreme Court, there's no reason to believe that these maps will be thrown out.
So, yeah.
Well, you know, who knows?
Maybe.
