So what do we normally do?
We would normally turn to Britain and bring in solar.
go through the interconnector to bring in power from there.
But they're having their own problems.
They have a number of plants that can't operate because of the heat.
They would generally turn to France.
France has a lot of nuclear, but the nuclear plants, they can't get enough cool water because of the shortage of water.
And they've been...
Yeah, and they've been told as well that, you know, to restrict the water that's coming out of the plants, because, I mean, these nuclear plants need vast quantities of water, I'm told.
They've been told to restrict the amount of water coming out of the nuclear plants because it's very hot and it's adding to the temperatures in rivers and that will kill fish.
So you just have a situation where, you know, there's a real issue.
It's very, very tight across Europe at the moment.
And if this persists over a long period,
It means that the most expensive gas fire plants are called into operation in Ireland and by air grid
that sets the price for everybody.
We have this thing called margin pricing in the system, which means that the most expensive plant sets the price for everybody.
So, you know, if this was to persist, it's not good in terms of pricing.
Already, next Wednesday, Electric Ireland and Uno Energy are putting up their prices.
We've also had an announcement from Flowgas and already Prepay Power have announced a price where they've already implemented a price rise.
