Over the past year, Hollywood has been in the news for negative reasons.
Hollywood female stars are angry.
It's not just sex scandals.
A year ago, we also covered their dismay at pay, where we pointed out that one of the reasons actresses earn less in Hollywood is because there are just fewer roles for women.
This week is the 90th year of the Royal Academy Awards.
And so we thought we'd ask, how visible are women in film?
To do this, More or Less has teamed up with a few others.
So I'm Amelia.
I'm Sarah.
And I'm Georgina.
They're from a BBC team called 100 Women.
We decided to look back at 89 years' worth of films that won Best Picture and ask, do they pass the Bechdel test?
What is that, I hear some of you say?
Well, back in 1985, a cartoonist called Alison Bechdel poked fun at the fact that so few films had satisfying female movie characters.
In her comic strip, Dykes to Watch Out For, she shows two women discussing going to the cinema.
One woman explains her rules for picking what she wants to watch, and that forms the basis of what has become The Bechdel Test.
In Alison's cartoon, The Two Women Go Home, there were no films showing that passed.
To be honest, this seems like a very low bar.
Surely you'd expect most films to pass, wouldn't you?
It turned out to be a trickier enterprise to do than we first assumed.
