For some reason, when I put my hands like that, that's the way I was sitting.

And when the person got shot and he fell, he fell on his left side, so he was looking right at me.

And I remember just looking at him.

I looked at Sonny.

And Sonny looked at me, but then kind of Sonny just turned away.

And I remember just then looking at him.

And I could swear he was looking at me.

He might have been dead, but his eyes were on me.

Maybe it's my imagination.

But I remember his look at me.

And I think that's the one thing that I think about whenever I go back to that moment.

And then my father got me by the arm and dragged me up the steps.
