I promise you that will come back to kick you in the ass.
Back to our regularly scheduled episode because I went off on a tangent there.
You don't know anything about these businesses.
You have no flipping clue.
Are they overcharging, undercharging?
Are they pocketing everything?
You have no idea.
And yet this is one of the biggest, I would argue, decisions in your business.
What should your pricing be?
And they're basing it off that, basing it on what everyone else is doing with no freaking clue what they're doing.
It does not make a lot of sense when you really think about it.
And I reckon sometimes we're so...
desperate for certainty that will take advice from almost anywhere just because it feels better than having to make the decision ourselves because if you make the decision and you mess it up it's not your fault is it because you copied what someone else was doing you need to let that go because this is the job of a business owner making heavy hard unpopular decisions okay
not the decisions that give you a false sense of security, but the decisions that are actually right for your business.
And something I encourage my mental clients to do is, you know, ask a simple question before making a change.
