They're actually pretty boring.
And I genuinely mean that as a compliment.
They do the basics, picking up the phone, replying to inquiries quickly, do what they say they will, look after their clients, have well-trained staff, have perfect pricing, ask for feedback.
What do my clients actually want before I go building, implementing, creating, designing all this crap that they don't actually want?
It's nothing revolutionary or flashy.
It's just consistency.
I think people get annoyed when I say that, but it's just the truth.
Take it or leave it.
And it's consistency year after year, not week after week, not month after month, year after year, okay?
The businesses...
don't really get flash they're not in the headlines they're not winning the freaking local business awards they're not going viral but there they still are 10 years later okay you underestimate just how powerful consistency is because it's not exciting it's not exciting it's not flashy that can't be it
but it is, you know, I know it feels exciting to launch something new.
Oh, wow.
I've just created this brand new product or scheme or subscription.
And like, that feels fun.
And like, you've really achieved something.
It feels way more fun than just improving the way you answer the phone.
But I promise you there's one that works better than the other, you know, or even just picking up the phone.
And I know it's more exciting to redesign your website.
