I was thinking about being a surgeon, but I realized in short order that it would take another four to eight years before I could do that, and I wanted to be funny first.
Yeah, Steely Dan was in college with me, and I was with them, and I played the drums.
And later on, I just moved into the piano, and that's what I've been playing for the last 50 years or so.
