So um that's how we kind of got the idea to create Unstuck an O C D kids movie.
And it came out in twenty seventeen.
It took about a year and a half to create it and interview the kids and edited it.
And um we were lucky enough to premiere it and be the keynote address at the twenty seventeen International O C D Foundation conference in San Francisco.
And we had all the kids from the film out there and it was a really good chance to kind of uh introduce the film to the community and uh since then
We've been fortunate enough to share the message throughout the world, uh, whether it's via social media or visiting other countries uh or talking on podcasts like this, it's been really uh a great experience for us going from this position of uh not knowing anything to being able to give back to people that helped us.
Sure.
Obsessions would be the things that worry you, concern you.
They can be thoughts, urges, images that might occur in your brain, uh, that cause intense and severe anxiety.
Uh and then the compulsions uh can be physical or mental and or I should say compulsions can be physical and or mental.
Um and their the the way
you try to relieve the anxiety that's caused by the obsession.
So that's why it's obsessive and compulsion.
With the obsession comes some kind of action ritual that you're trying to do to relieve that anxiety.
And somebody with O C D, the compulsion might temporarily get rid of the anxiety.
And it's becomes an action that you continue and repeat and that and it eventually
It usually grows and becomes more elaborate and can take over uh somebody's life.
Um for example
my daughter has contamination OCD.
So it can be it can take in different forms.
