So if you automate that as part of your expenses.
So that's how I think the best way to do it is to cut your income up, give yourself a spending amount per month and spend based on that.
Your whole mindset will shift because you go, wow, I just spent $400 over the weekend on clothes and going out, but only had $800 for the month.
wow, I'm not sure if I'm going to do that again.
But if you have $5,000 in your month, that's where you get credit card issues and short-term debt because money goes in, money gets out.
Oh, actually, I'll have a credit card.
And then all of a sudden, you start going backwards.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
yeah exactly in substitution of your time you know the best things in life are free to be honest um i think and so it's about so that can you have just as much enjoyment but not cost you any money um and sometimes that's just as exciting in itself i think with the deposit i think a lot of people put too much pressure on how much they need um
Sometimes it's not as much as you think, you know, a lot of people think you need a 20% deposit, but that's not really true.
You know, your government have had things like the 5% deposit schemes, which is, you know, you know, there's lots to that.
State government right now, but no stamp duty up to 1.5 million in New South Wales.
And there's other exemptions, different industries, you know, you only need a 10% deposit to avoid LMI.
LMI isn't, you know, that's different.
It's an exponential curve.
Like you,
You know, if you borrow 85%, the cost is much lower than if you borrow it at 95%.
So I think it's just an education on the right deposit amount for you based on your life and your situation and what you want to buy.
And it might not be as much as you thought, especially with all these other things.
