It's not about me saying, you know, he shouldn't have done that, but he's figured out that, you know, the challenges with renting are serious.

And when you're single, you're a couple, I mean, I lived over 20, 30 houses in my twenties.

I traveled around heaps.

I lived in London, Melbourne, all over Sydney, different parts of Melbourne, et cetera.

You can easily move, right?

When you're single, you're a couple and your housing needs are very limited because you

um you can live quite minimally right and you don't really want to buy much furniture because you know you're going to move anyway so you it doesn't cost you that much but as soon as you start get to that family formation stage or thinking that you might have a family um the nesting takes over um i mean even yesterday a client i've been trying to take action with for a year uh you know what's driving him is what his fiance is pregnant basically um and it's just that well what are we going to do now i need to provide i need to get a house um

we need to have that.

We want to have that stability, you know, when they go to school, et cetera.

And so Andrew really sort of discussed the problems with that.

And also the, the aspirational part of life as well as a huge part, you know, like obviously people want a house, but then they want that in a certain area so they can have the community and the lifestyle benefits of that.

So it was a really interesting sort of conversation you guys had

really interesting one i think a lot of people um naturally are more conservative than um aggressive with the way that they make decisions um and most people naturally want to sell first and then they want to go and buy something else once we have a conversation when we're talking through the logistics of that um and the challenges of making that happen

they come around to potentially buying first.

And that really depends on the quality of the asset they've got today.

But you're right, like not many people are doing what Andrew does and sort of selling, buying shares and trying to time the market.

And all of them come to us after doing that and going, oh, well, I've been trying to get in for two or three years and it keeps running on me.

You know, how do we solve this problem?

Yeah.

So this is, you know, it's easily sort of forgotten really, you know, like, and because it's your home, you're living in it and you're living there for a long time, like it might be 10 years.
