Bill Walton did it back in 1977, first year in the playoffs, had a team full of younger players and led them to the championship.
But no one else can say that.
Not Bill Russell, who had the MVP Bob Cousy on his team with him, and Cousy had led them to the playoffs the previous six years.
Magic had Kareem as an MVP that year.
Tim Duncan had David Robinson still in his prime.
Yeah.
So even the young players who have won, led teams to championships in their first time in the playoffs, they always did it with a veteran MVP next to him outside of Bill Walton.
So yeah, Wimby doesn't have that veteran superstar to lean on.
He's the leader of the team.
And that's why if he can pull this off and win the championship,
it will be virtually unprecedented.
Yeah, I tried to remind people in Shaq's first postseason with Orlando, they got swept by Rick Smits and Dale Davis and Reggie Miller.
Look it up.
Next year, it was when they went to the finals against Olajuwon.
All right, let's move to the Thunder.
These flip-floppers, it's really annoying.
I mean, Chris, I don't think it's a good look for the league that after every game the next morning, all the clips you see are fans, casuals, whatever, splicing together the biggest flops
and the biggest ugly fake moves.
I mean, they're like soccer players out there, flopping and trying to get calls.
Adam Silver's out here saying, I don't think it's a big deal.
