i guess it's a nice luxury that having one of the great performances ever is setting the bar too high like yes my best moments are setting the bar too high for myself i try to live up to them every single day we'll see what we can do here in the next 10 minutes but victor his job isn't to score 40 and 20 every single night it's just to be consistent and impactful

and that has been hard for him in this series and i i would credit isaiah hartenstein and alex caruso and case and wallace more than i would you know take away from victor i think victor has played well in this series he had just hasn't played up to the standard that like sga is setting where sga besides that first half in game one has been excellent the entire series and victor just hasn't quite been that way and i think some of this is inherent to victor's game both in the

And that one, he's in his third season.

He's only played like 100 something games in his NBA career.

And two, he is a big man still.

And I know that he wants to be a forward and he wants to be known as a giant wing, which he is and which he is trending to.

But in the playoffs, he has for the most part had to play as a center because his ball handling skills and his ability to find his spots isn't at the level that it needs to be yet.

And because of that, he doesn't have the ball in his hands most of the time.

He's not in control of when and how he gets his shots.

And so that is a vulnerability that he has not been able to overcome against one of the best defenses that we've seen.

Do you think we see a little more of the French vanilla lineup with Luke Cornett and Wemby, the double big?

I know they've tinkered with it a little bit.

Your thoughts?

They didn't really use it in the postseason that much.

And then they started breaking it out later in this series because I think Mitch Johnson wisely saw that like the battle in the trenches is where the series has been won for OKC.

And they won.

They need to find a way to get effective minutes for Cornette and take a little bit of burden off of Wambanyama.

And I guess they decided that playing them together would at least help alleviate that.

And two, they just need to win the rebounding battle.

Like the rebounding battle has been so crucial to this series.
