I want to quote my mom, Sarah Weiss here.

I'm not mad.

I'm disappointed.

And I'm sure all of our moms have said that to us at some point.

And it's ironic because Victor got the Magic Johnson Award from the Pro Basketball Writers Association for excellence in media cooperation.

And

he deserved it it wasn't like a fraudulent award but he did not live up to it in that moment and this is the big thing is when you're a star player you get paid a stupid amount of money like i can't even count that high how much they make a year and that's why i'm a writer and they a big part of that job is you show up and you face the music after these games you're the one that consistently does the press conference afterwards and look at the coach an nba coach has to speak before and after

Every game without fail.

The star player doesn't quite have to do that.

But in the postseason, in game five of the conference finals, which is at this point the biggest game of his NBA career.

It doesn't it doesn't undercut his entire reputation, but it does state to the fact that for some reason in that moment, he wasn't willing to speak.

And I don't know if there was some sort of other reason there have been in the past where there are personal things going on that made it so he didn't want to talk.

But in this moment, it just seemed like he just did not want to talk.

And that's disappointing.

Understandable.

And always great when you can coach your mom on TV.

Let me ask you, so did he set the bar too high with 41 and 24 in game one?

It was so good.

It's impossible to live up to that, especially playing every other day.

I think they had three days off between the last series and game one.
