Yeah.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, if just one of those shares did badly, and I remember, yeah, in my dad's portfolio, some went up and some went bust, like it has a big impact.
And so the diversification now you get through the MISCI world index, and that's one of the most broad indices you can find.
It's basically, you know, every country in the world.
according to their size and lots of companies, you know, it is a great starting point.
And I think for, you know, for a lot of people, it's, it can start off as the core or something like it can start off at the core, but I'd say it's not a complete portfolio.
What it's missing really is diversification into other assets.
And also it also misses that Australian investors, if you're only investing into global indices and granted, even in that misky index, Australia maybe has a 2% weight, but it's quite small.
You actually face a lot more volatility than if you had a bit more, a little bit more in Australia.
So maybe an analogy is that MISCI index for your portfolio is a great engine, but you need some brakes and suspension as well.
And that's where, you know, things like bonds and gold and, you know, a slightly higher allocation to Australian shares can actually give you a smoother ride.
Well, yeah, I think 60-40 is often debated, but mainly debated in financial advisor circles because I think they want to add more complexity.
I actually think it's a great starting point and our portfolios aren't too different.
You know, we actually have a portfolio that's 60-40 and we only have five ETFs.
Yeah.
So we, so within the, so we split it by growth assets and defensive assets.
On the growth asset side, we have three, which is a Australian shares ETF.
So we have one that follows the ASX 300, the biggest 300 companies in Australia.
We have a global 100 ETF.
