And typically you know, when you and I do presentations, we don't really go deep into core vocabulary anymore because a lot of times we're talking to speech language pathologists or, you know, teachers that have been in the classroom for a little while, maybe have heard about core vocabulary. podcast-host

But in this case, pre-service OTs, I felt like you needed to hit it pretty hard, right? podcast-host

And sure enough, um, one of the things that uh one of the sort of uh activities or experiences that I invited them to participate in is like tell tell me some nouns that you have um in that you've come across in your service already, you know, and they're podcast-host

you know, specific to OT and they're like, well, like a Reacher, you know. podcast-host

Now how would you describe Reacher using core vocabulary? podcast-host

And it, you know, for them i they eventually got there, but it it was it was work at first, like um a tool that I use with my hands. podcast-host

I'm like, well okay, use. podcast-host

And um so we got there. podcast-host

Uh but uh podcast-host

Because they hadn't really heard of core vocabulary before was so new to them, it took them a little bit of a lift to start thinking in core vocabulary. podcast-host

But you're spot on again, you jumped right into my brain. podcast-host

It would that was like a big a big section of the time, um, was talking about core vocabulary. podcast-host
