Um so so I think that would be my answer is that um podcast-host

had some really tough moments and like not one more kid, not one more kid are we going to do. podcast-host

And I don't always win that battle, but uh now there's a whole shift in the culture around how we think about AAC so so that podcast-host

There are still kids that uh that we need to work on, but less than less than before and more than ever are getting those robust language that podcast-host

And just to expand on it one to to pull the camera back a little bit, that is a very specific case where someone is thinking about restriction. podcast-host

And that is only one time that uh there are going to be other times in your career where people are going to ask you to restrict things. podcast-host

A great example for me is um, hey, this kid keeps clicking clicking on the mouse. podcast-host

Do something when they can't click, click, click on the mouse? podcast-host

It's like, well, just like Rachel said, what would you do for somebody else who could click, click, click on the mouse? podcast-host

Or um you you podcast-host

If someone was picking their nose, would you put things in front of their nose so they can't pick their nose, or would you teach them not to pick their nose? podcast-host

Just in your in the back of your mind or as a as a platitude to remember, we educate over restrict. podcast-host

Uh yes, there are times we need safety things, like we're gonna put little baby caps over the um podcast-host

uh over the electrical sockets, right? podcast-host

But then we're also going to teach you through videos and songs and play and role play and all different ways why you shouldn't stick a fork in the in the electrical socket. podcast-host
