who for me is a triple threat.
She has that amazing voice, that amazing instrument, um that you can listen to.
Reading a you know, a shopping list.
And she's got a great storytelling ability.
And it's a very incisive commentary, having been a tennis player herself at a high level.
But what really separates her from a lot of people from my point of view is having been in the press room all those years.
Mary works her butt off.
You know, she comes down she was the only one I ever saw from the, you know, T V crews who would be down there in the old days at all the press conferences, you know, pumping the beat writers for information, sharing stuff with them and and just really working it like a a print journal.
It's kind of Bud Collins style, if you will.
And and I have a lot of respect for that.
And she really uh she really shined uh in Newport on Saturday.
It was great to see and and nice that the Hall of Fame has those uh stuff.
the greatest players but do other things for tennis.
You know, uh I it's there's no question which way the trend line is going.
I mean, he hasn't won a major since twenty three.
Um he's done awfully well and he just got to the final in Australia in January.
Let's not forget, and the semifinals at Wimbledon
Beating Felix Ozealiya seemed to be.
in a terrific match, five set effort to get to the semis.
