I think what I probably found most interesting about it, obviously there's CBA minutiae that was interesting in there, like you kind of mentioned.
The idea of like a 30-plus guy gets free agency a year earlier, but you can franchise tag him if you pay him enough is pretty fascinating.
The other thing I found interesting was the league gave away a part of what their PR strategy will be, which we probably could have predicted, is they didn't,
They didn't get too specific about anything in the MLBPA's proposal, except, hey, here's how it would change the Dodgers' bottom line.

They are funding a lot of these other teams that don't even get close to the CBT thresholds.

John, I guess this is, again, this is a question more for probably after the season, but as we start doing this PR battle and here's our proposal and here's an anonymous quote and we're leaking this to see what the fan reaction is and we play through all these games, will there be anything...
what is the most tangible thing I guess you'll be looking for over the next couple of months to suggest maybe if not a lockout avoided that like, we're not dragging this into February and March.
Is there anything that could come from either side publicly to give you confidence that they're moving in the right direction?
Yeah, I will say the one thing that I would warn everyone about is that if, and I don't think this is going to happen, but if a salary cap gets introduced, and I have said this on the show before, you need a lot of time to figure that out because like, let's say February 1st, you're like, okay, we give in, there's a salary cap.
You can't start free agency on February 2nd.
There's going to be a runway there figuring all that stuff out.
So hopefully they're mindful of that.
So, John, moving off the CBA a little bit, I want to pivot to some of the work you guys do at Fangraphs and you specifically as far as roster resource and payrolls and things like that.
