So, um

it's technically not harder to pull the ball.

I I I'm pretty sure what his comments meant was like pulling the ball effectively, functionally without exposing yourself, right?

I was literally having this conversation with my agent last night.

I don't even know why we were talking about it, but um one of his clients is uh Rafael Flores is having like a nice little run for the pirates right now and and and it all stems from like

When you use the big part of the field, good things happen as a hitter.

It opens up more holes, you create more time.

Like you create better direction with your swing when you want to sell out to pull.

you expose so much more there, right?

And that's why it's it's really, really hard to be a great pull hitter and hit for a high average in today's game.

Like, you know, Jose didn't hit for particularly high averages.

He had such a keen eye at home plate though, which is what allowed him to drive baseballs out of the ballpark.

Cause again, fundamentally, like the left field wall is closer than any other part in of the park.

And you can create your best bat speed out front, right?

Like you can create the best acceleration out front.

So in order to pull that ball.

uh functionally you have to hit it out front and therefore makes it easier to hit out.

Doing that consistently and without exposing yourself to holes is what makes it hard.

So Joey's comment is
