So I drove over.
I had my SL.
I took the roof off the SL, drove to the King Harry Ferry, had a lovely little trip on the King Harry Ferry, which was beautiful on Sunday.
lovely blue skies and the sea was shimmering and everything in the world was really good.
I felt really positive.
And I made a rare use of that thing on the SL where you can raise the suspension.
You know that button on an SL63?
So I made use of that because it was a lower tyre, so the angle of the ramp as you came off was a bit more articulated.
So I used the little bump.
So rather than having to do that thing where you shimmy and go sideways and turn a wheel...
or just go really slowly and irritate everybody.
I just went straight off with the suspension raised.
Got to Truro and I can immediately see what this lovely gentleman said.
You could see the cars everywhere.
So I parked up and walked in.
What they could have done was to say, let's just use the park and ride at the edge of Truro or the rugby field or some field somewhere and put all the cars in there.
No, they didn't do that.
They said, let's put them all in the city centre in the pedestrianised area and close some streets.
