And my father knew that he was trying to say it in a nice way, but he was so offended. That there was this kind of surprise that he wasn't a mobster. My father hated the mafia. Of course. He would not watch any of those movies. Oh, well, he's missing a lot. He would not. He was like, why do I want to see the worst affect of my ethnicity? Because they're great movies.
I'll tell you, you obviously didn't know him. You didn't sit that guy down anywhere. That guy didn't do anything he didn't want to do. That's why he struggled in politics. You know, one of the advantages my brother has in having watched my father develop and really be his guy, my brother was the main guy for my father since he was 18, okay? And... I don't know what the fuck will happen, but I don't think I don't think it determines the race. I think he's got a lot. I do. I think he's got a lot pressure against him within that party. And they're going to have to make a decision whether they want to be in power or they want to police their own set of beliefs within their party. I mean, that's what they have to decide.
What are they about as a party? I'm not a fan of the parties. I'm not a fan of the Democratic Party. I don't think they're my father's party by a long shot. No. But. Well, they could be. You know, Andrew's leading in the polls for a reason. It's not name recognition. It's because when people look at their experience living in the city, they believe he's someone who can make it better.
Right, but they know the controversies also.
I was happy to hear that the amicus brief, that the person who was brought in to look at it, who's a very legitimate person, said... These charges should be dropped. It shouldn't be that. Let's see what happens after the election. It's not fair that Trump is trying to keep those hooks in Mayor Adams like that. I know my brother's running against them, but that's how I feel.
I think the federal indictment was weak sauce. And I think this deal by Trump was manipulative. And you drop the charges, you don't.
Yeah. And it's the party's plan to their worst instincts of those fringes. What? It's the fringe. The fringe dominates our dialogue. Right. Dominates our process. And you're either... Look, and then you get really pissed off when you see the hypocrisy of it.
