The staff that we looked at them in the past going, what are they doing?
How are they moving the ball?
We've questioned their defence, they've tightened that up at times, but we've questioned their ball movement.
And they were all on the same page.
Yes, a couple of them were risky kicks into the middle, but everyone knew where the ball was going.
They'd win the ball in the half-back line, they'd transition, they'd look into the corridor, they'd have runners going past, they'd have blokes on the half-forward line leading out into space.
So yes, the last couple of years have been a scratch-your-head
How are they moving the ball forward?
We all saw that in one quarter, which got them back in.
And we'll give this group a lot of confidence.
The next phase for them is, can we do it again?
Can we do it again?
Let's not get seven goals down or five goals down before you start to really push these things.
So this is the consistency side of things that Clarkson has to work on.
Because what we saw in that last quarter was like the North Melbourne supporters were, hallelujah, we've got an understanding of what we've been praying for for the last four years.
When you see him passionate and upbeat like he was, it's always good to see because I know early on he couldn't be frustrated.
He had to build the trust and the relationships with the guys.
So if he did need to give a bit of honest feedback, the relationship was there.
