They haven't affected regime change like they said they were going to.

What they've done is just inflict pain on the rest of the world.

And nobody knows how this is going to end.

I think there's been a total lack of leadership there.

We should have recognised Palestine as a state three years ago.

It's easy to look at life from your own advantages and your own perspective.

Putting yourself in the shoes of someone else is a lot harder.

You should always think about if this was the other way around, how would I feel about that?

I mean, it's good for us.

It's tough going out there, though, for a lot of Kiwis.

Been out and about around the country over the school holidays.

And be fair to say that there's a lot of Kiwis who are finding the goings pretty tough.

The spike in the price of fuel has hit a lot of families really, really hard.

A lot of small businesses really hard as well.

But it was pretty tough going for them before then.

So we've been just talking to them about what they're doing to get through and how they're supporting people through that.
