But then I kind of got into it and I found my zone and I found politics through that and got involved in student politics at university and everything.
And that was a bit accidental, too.
It was a bit out of self-interest.
Because, you know, as a student who was paying my own way through university, I went along in a student protest, protesting against the increase in student fees.
I wasn't doing anything wrong, just to be clear.
I wasn't doing anything wrong.
And I felt this sense of injustice.
You know, I was on the forecourt of Parliament protesting against, it was a national government, of course, protesting against them and got arrested and thought, this is not right.
You shouldn't be arrested just for exercising your right to protest.
Anyway, we went through all the court system and everything, and we had some great lawyers who did it pretty much for free for us.
And the courts also agreed with us.
You shouldn't have been arrested.
But that kind of really hooked me into politics by then.
The sense of injustice really kind of was the thing that finally did it.
