like hit this feeling I feel like with me and my friends where it does feel like on one scale everything is really like feels life-threatening and like end of the movie sort of like high stakes and then on the other end of the spectrum it's like our day-to-day lives when you're sort of 35 can be quite boring and it's quite dizzying and so yeah that's kind of what the show's about so I just worked through from 6am to 11pm Do you need to have children?
Well, I've got a high-maintenance rescue dog.
I mean, your hair as well.
It's like, you know.
Like, it isn't just the childless ones that are feeling it.
But I do think it is a specific, like, millennial mindset.
Well, we sort of feel hard done by, even though we might not have been, you know, like I think we were sort of young and upcoming and it was like, you know, we're trying to find our way in the world and we were working hard.
And then we sort of got that disposable income.
We knew what we were doing with our hair.
We got the fringe that framed the face and then COVID hit and we couldn't go out anymore and show it off.
So then we spent like the early thirties, that time when you do want to be out there and,
um you know going to europe at home and then that time finished and then suddenly it was like whoa time to grow up and so i think that's where this like maybe uh over analyzing of like our own life and the state of the world sort of comes from maybe but we do worry about it a lot so like i'm not
necessarily taking a position out there, but I do try and kind of reflect where we're at as a generation.
And it's great for comedy, you know.
Well, I have yet to see Gen Z sort of slay in a way.
Bring it on.
And I'm coming for Gen X. They're just like creeping in the background getting away with anything.
a hundred percent i mean and that comes from we don't tell our own stories as much as we should anymore i think it's a very interesting like i think it's globalization happens right like and and when shows get made now like even if like for tv it's like we can't really tell our own stories as much as we need to tell a big broad story that can have like international appeal because we need the international buy-in to like make stuff here
So we do lose a sense of locality in terms of our own storytelling.
