People ask me, what's one of the regrets you have?

It's that we weren't able to finish it and actually win.

And then to see them get to the finals last year, I was excited for the fans, for the city of Edmonton, for the team, just everything they've been through and

uh you know i'm hoping they're able to really finish it this year and get it back to game seven on home ice and ultimately winning at home would be fantastic for the fan base and the city and the players just everything they've gone through and you know mcdavid and dry saddle and all the guys that have been a part of it corey perry now going to another finals you know i talked to him after the game you'd love to see him uh finish one off and get another cup ring to go along with our ducks one

I think just with what he provides, his leadership, his willingness to still get dirty and play in the greasy areas and the blue paint.

In those areas, you know, I don't foresee that.

He just loves to play.

He loves pissing people off.

He loves scoring goals.

You know, he knows where he's best.

And, you know, he's never been a great skater.

So I think that's where when you hear the age 40 and you hear, oh, he's got a lot of miles and things of that nature, then, oh, maybe he's going to lose a step.

Well, he lost a step 15 years ago.

And he's not a guy who scores a lot off the rush.

It's in zone.

It's on the cycle.

It's the grind game.

It's getting in those grease tiers, in around the net, in the grade A scoring chances.

And his willingness to take a pounding to score goals, I think, is what sets him apart from a lot of players.

His willingness to stand there, take it, and then find loose pucks and bang them in.
