Oh yeah.
It was a struggle.
And uh
Uh you know, it there was a number of factors for it, but uh but at the end of the day
At towards the latter part of that third season started to try to figure it out.
Uh started to just let my talent take over and stop worrying about the booze and the criticism and
expectations and pressures that you know, added pressure that was either I was putting on myself or fans, whatnot.
And just going out and playing the game and just relaxing.
And then from that I then started to develop and
You know.
build on the talent that I had and started to get in better shape and started training and started
Doing all the things that as I uh
Year after year compounded.
The consistency and the effort
in the summertime and then throughout the course of those seasons I got better and better and better and and ultimately fulfilled the the expectations and that crazy word called potential that we all hear.
And uh you know, but it took some time and and it's also
You may have it.
on the hockey front, but you may may not have it on the maturity front or the you know, the uh the office habits and and things of that nature.
And it it to put that complete package together it takes time and and learning the defensive position
and understanding you need to gain experience, you need to understand the systems and and the way the players play and tendencies and and all the rest of that as you uh navigate your career and try to learn and and grow on the job.
