I think we would see a lot more moves throughout the course of the season outside of the deadline if there weren't so many limited no-trade or no-move clauses.

You've got Matthews, Nyes, a couple of young guys, Cowan.
Outside of that, you've got Tavares now, what, three more years, I think?
I would like to see Tavares in the three hole.
I think he would get better matchups and be positioned better long-term if he could play in the three slot.
But I think there's an opportunity there.
to make it a little bit quicker because you already have those pieces.
There's a lot of teams that start from zero, and it takes a long time.
I think for them, they need to rebuild their back end.
Their defense core is older, slower.
They need some fresh young guys back there.
I just came from doing the Edmonton-Anaheim game on Monday, looking at Lacombe and Zellweger and even Bouchard.
He's kind of turned the season around the last couple months with how he's played.
Just seeing how well they move back there, the way they transition the puck, the way they skate.
