West Virginia will receive more than $11 million from Roblox over several years to address concerns of child endangerment and exploitation on the platform.
But State Attorney General J.B.
McCuskey says the settlement was reached before a lawsuit was ever filed because Roblox was willing to collaborate on the issue.
McCuskey says the money will be used in part to teach children, parents, and educators about online safety.
Nevada and Alabama are the two other states receiving about $12 million each from Roblox under the settlements.

Morrissey said Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe is responsive but remains in serious condition after he and Specialist Sarah Beckstrom were shot in Washington, D.C.
Beckstrom later died from her injuries.
Morrissey reiterated that since November 17th, all West Virginia Guard members serving in Washington are doing so on a volunteer basis.
Following the shooting, President Trump ordered 500 additional National Guard members to the nation's capital, despite a federal judge's orders to end the deployment of National Guard troops.
